To answer that, you need to understand that the real question is what NFT you want to buy and, more than that, what blockchain it is on.
I have a few wallets, the witches collection is ETH-based, and the Dreams is SOL-based.
I use CoinBase wallet for ETH-based NFT (Opensea has both a selling platform and a wallet – so don’t get confused). As mentioned before, they support 3 types of blockchains but probably will have more in the future.
Some collections will ask for specific wallets, So for example, I used Phantom for my SOL NFT because Dreams required it.
SOL has a lot of platforms like Solanart, Solsea, and Solshop.
“You will need to open a wallet with the correct currency”
What is the difference between an NFT wallet and a platform?
A wallet is like your wallet; it holds your crypto money and NFT. The platform is like a big shop where you can buy and sell NFTs.
